1099 season locker: every signed file, one CSV for your CPA

W-9s, contractor agreements, and invoices you already sent through Docracy — listed by calendar year. Export names, emails, amounts, and signed-page links. We do not file 1099s or read TINs off the PDF.

The problem

January hits and the W-9 is gone. Gmail search fails. The signed PDF lived nine days on a free e-sign tool and then vanished. Your CPA wants a list, not a scavenger hunt.

What this is

On Paid, Docracy already keeps completed PDFs until the next April 15 or 13 months. The locker is that archive, filtered to one calendar year, plus a spreadsheet you can hand a CPA. Honest columns only: dates, titles, counterparties, amounts you typed, your checkout URL.

  • Every completed document in that calendar year — not only files titled W-9.
  • CSV: year, completed date, title, names, emails, amount, currency, payment URL, paid/unpaid, archive date, signed-page URL.
  • No TIN OCR, no IRS e-file, no Gusto. You already have the W-9 PDF in the vault.
  • Signing stays free. Paid is how the files (and this list) survive until 1099 time.

FAQ

Does Docracy file 1099-NEC with the IRS?

No. The locker is a list of documents you already completed here, plus a CSV. You or your CPA still file.

Do you extract Social Security numbers or EINs?

No. We never OCR the PDF for taxpayer ID. Keep the signed W-9 in the vault and hand that file to your CPA.

What goes in the CSV?

Year, completed date, title, counterparty names and emails, amount and currency if you attached a payment link, paid/unpaid for cobro, archive date, and the shareable signed-page URL.

Is the locker free?

No. Free signing deletes PDFs after 9 days. Paid ($10/month) keeps files through tax season and unlocks this list.

Does it include WhatsApp cobro sends?

Yes. Completed cobro (pay + file, no signature) counts in the same year as signed contracts.
