Contractor records that still exist in January.

Every completed Docracy file from the calendar year, plus a spreadsheet for your CPA. We do not file 1099-NEC or read TINs off the PDF.

The problem

Free e-sign tools delete the W-9 after a week. Come 1099 time you have a name in the bank feed and no file.

The Docracy way

Paid keeps PDFs until the next April 15 or 13 months. The 1099 season locker lists that year and exports CSV: titles, counterparties, amounts you typed, signed-page URLs.

Features

Calendar-year list

All completed docs, not only ones titled W-9.

CPA CSV

Honest columns — no fake TIN extraction.

Tax-year vault

Same Paid archive that already keeps the PDFs.

Includes cobro

Pay-only WhatsApp sends count in the same year.

Use cases

  • US companies collecting W-9s from 1099 contractors
  • Studios that pay both US and LATAM contractors
  • Anyone whose CPA asked for a list, not a ZIP of Gmail PDFs

FAQ

Will Docracy e-file my 1099s?

No. This is an archive and a CSV. You or your CPA still file with the IRS.

Where is the locker?

https://docracy.io/1099-season — Spanish: /es/temporada-1099. Paid accounts see the download; everyone else sees this explainer.

Do you extract Social Security numbers from the W-9?

No. We never OCR taxpayer IDs. Keep the signed W-9 PDF in the vault and hand that file to your CPA.

Does this include invoices I sent on WhatsApp without a signature?

Yes. Completed cobro (pay + file) counts in the same calendar year as signed contracts.

Is the 1099 locker free?

No. Free signing deletes PDFs after 9 days. Paid ($10/month) keeps files through tax season and unlocks the CSV.
